About the way I work

I work as an integrative therapist meaning I use skills from a range of therapeutic approaches in order to meet my clients’ individual needs.

These include:

  • Attachment based therapy, which involves being interested in early relationships with primary caregivers.

  • Psychodynamic therapy includes working with the idea that early-life relational patterns get re-enacted in later life.

  • Embodied therapy, which uses tracking bodily sensations to get a better understanding of our emotions.

My style is relational, meaning I view the relationship between the client and therapist as pivotal to the work, and instructive in discovering areas of strength as well as areas where old and obsolete defence structures may be restricting potential.
